The Litter Patrol Department is responsible for all illegal dumping complaints in the unincorporated areas of Mobile County. The department handles all clean up projects along county roadways.
Litter Patrol officers have the authority to write tickets warning citizens of impending fines for illegal dumping in the county.
- $100 - Operating Without A Permit
- $50/$100 - Littering
- $100/$500 - Dumping Solid Waste on Public/Private Land
The litter law covers trash, discarded tires, white goods, unauthorized accumulation and solid waste. The law also covers permits for garbage haulers. (Act 81-450)
